JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager (HVAC) with a strong technical background to drive sales within the Sheffield area.
* The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling directly to consultants and end users rather than M&E contractors, with expertise in winning maintenance and service contracts.
KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES EXPECTED FROM THE ROLE:
* Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth and secure maintenance and service contracts.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants and end users, understanding their needs and providing tailored HVAC solutions.
* Technical Expertise: Utilize in-depth HVAC knowledge to provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring the best-fit solutions for their requirements.
* Market Development: Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s presence in the Sheffield and North of England region.
* Proposal and Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations and secure contracts, ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and service teams to ensure seamless contract fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
* Reporting: Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic plans to senior management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the HVAC industry, specifically in selling to consultants and end users.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, maintenance, and service contract sales.
* Demonstrated ability to win and manage long-term maintenance and service contracts.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Technical background with the ability to understand and discuss HVAC system designs and requirements.
* Proficient in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently and travel within the North of England as needed.
