Here at CPI, we’re looking for a dynamic Head of HR to bring our People and Culture strategy to life, ensuring a cohesive “One CPI” employee experience. This role will lead and develop our HR team, focusing on continuous improvement, offering growth opportunities, and addressing future team needs aligned with CPI’s overall strategy.
The Team
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Head of HR will directly line manage 2 Senior HR Business Partners, 2 HR Business Partners, and 1 HR Operations Manager. One Senior HR Business Partner has a team of 3 HR Advisors and the HR Operations team consists of 4 HR Assistants and 1 HR Analyst, reporting to the HR Operations Manager. The Head of HR will work closely with our Head of L&D, who manages our L&D Specialists, L&D Advisor and L&D Coordinator, supporting one another, being solutions-focused and empowered to deliver HR excellence.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. To lead on the formulation and execution of CPI’s people plan ensure that there is full alignment to overall business objectives as well as the long-term company vision and mission.
2. To collaborate with senior leadership to ensure HR initiatives support the overall business strategy.
3. To lead the development and embedding of processes, frameworks and systems that are effective for both CPI and our employees when our People and Culture strategy, business standards or legislation necessitates to evolve them.
4. To effectively project manage strategic change programmes that allow continuous improvement of our people practices.
5. To help shape CPI culture, to align company expectations with internal employee and organisation behaviours via embedding our Employee Value Proposition and organisation’s values as the golden thread of all people practices.
Leadership:
6. To nurture and develop the team talent and effectively manage the team to ensure the delivery of the teams goals and performance.
7. To actively keep self and team up to date with external developments in areas of specialism, and/ or legislative, ED&I and SHE related changes, ensuring implementation and application of new best practices and/ or knowledge across the team.
The person we are seeking
The ideal candidate will have:
8. Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role.
9. Strong knowledge of current HR practices, regulations, and employment law.
10. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing HR team.
11. Excellent strategic planning and change management skills.
12. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
13. A proactive and innovative mindset, always looking to improve and evolve people practices.
It is highly desirable candidates are Members of the CIPD or other recognised/ relevant body.
