Your Role:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary Engineering Team. The successful candidate will support Government Services EMEA projects and bids, focusing on water and fuel systems. This includes working on UK MOD projects like the Joint Operational Fuels System and Combat Water Support System, as well as other UK Government Department projects and bids.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engineering aspects of projects from start to finish, either leading or supporting a team.
2. Perform mechanical engineering tasks such as design, calculations, and technical specifications.
3. Engage in research, manufacturer consultations, and monitor performance.
4. Support the development and delivery of packaged equipment, mainly for water treatment.
5. Inspect new equipment and report on recovered equipment from deployment.
6. Plan and report on equipment/system integration trials.
7. Create detailed specifications and review supplier submissions.
8. Supervise interfaces between different equipment packages for system integration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
* Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
* Knowledge of 3D design software like SolidWorks & PDMS.
* Experience with engineering calculation software for HVAC, water supply, and drainage (e.g., Hevacomp, Bentley, Windes Micro Drainage).
* Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
Desirable:
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Experience in the Water Treatment industry.
The role is full-time, on-site in Swindon.
