We are recruiting for a Construction Engineer / Manager to support a major defence project on a permanent contract.
This exciting project is due to commence, so you will be joining right at the beginning. The client is offering hybrid working at either Warrington or Cumbria base offices, with occasional travel to the site in the future when required.
Responsibilities:
1. Working with the Planner to accurately schedule the installation of the M&E and civil services on site.
2. Raise TQ's to the designer of the civil and M&E.
3. Author a Scope of Work for the Installation Contractor.
4. Management of the installation contractor in all aspects both leading up to and including site works.
5. Responsible for safety on the site.
6. Will be supported by Project Team in terms of Engineering, Project Management, Safety Case, Conventional Safety, Procurement and Quality.
7. Reports day to day to the Project Manager, accountable to Programme CM.
8. Responsible for the completion of all plant, equipment and associated services installation documentation to enable handover to Commissioning.
9. Ensuring that the team and Contractors comply with the relevant Clients processes and procedures.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 10 years' experience in Construction Management.
2. Preferable Construction Management experience working in a brownfield environment in a Nuclear Facility.
3. Able to obtain DV Clearance.
4. Relevant NEBOSH Safety Certificate.
