4. Due to continued growth, the UK division of our client is looking to recruit an Internal Sales and Support Engineer.

2. Not having to work in a manufacturing environment anymore, however still be able to use your skills and technical know-how to help solve customer challenges in measurement, control, and automation?
3. As an Internal Sales and Support Engineer, you will combine the skills you have, in a customer-facing role, working with some of the most advanced sensor and automation products in the marketplace.

What will you actually be doing?
1. Be the first point of contact for new incoming enquiries.
2. Discuss at a technical level in order to understand customer requirements.
3. Work with the field sales team to review the requirement and determine the best next steps.
4. Manage your own projects where you prepare quotations, technical documentation, and proposals and supply to the customer.
5. Be the first line of technical support for customer questions.
6. Liaise with the company headquarters for further product information and technical support when required.
7. Occasional travel to customer sites and UK exhibitions/seminars.
8. Occasional overseas travel for product training.
An ideal candidate will have:
1. A technical background who is a good problem solver and can talk at a technical level with automation, quality, and research and development engineers.
2. A technical qualification in an engineering or science discipline is required for this role, ideally NVQ level 5 or higher. Hands-on experience of working in an engineering, quality, or research environment is preferred.
3. A proactive approach to dealing with new customer enquiries is essential. A good communicator, with the focus on building long-term customer relationships is required for this role.
