Delphi Care Solutions Ltd is currently supporting one of our amazing clients looking for a Deputy Manager- RNLD/RNMH (Nursing background) to work at its 7-bed Specialist Service, supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs, and associated Challenging Behaviours. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the incredible multi-disciplinary team, delivering therapeutic and practical care and support to improve the lives of the esteemed service users.

Delphi Care Solutions Ltd is looking for a Deputy Manager who is experienced in working with Autism/LD and associated behaviours and who wants to be part of an organisation that values its people. The role aimed at providing direct care and support to individuals with autism and mental health conditions / learning disabilities whilst delivering person-centred care that is bespoke to each individual.
As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for:
Leadership - Assisting the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service.
Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of care.
Mentorship and Training- Support staff development through training and supervision, promote a positive team environment.
Care Delivery - Participate in care planning and risk assessments, ensuring person-centred care for service users.
Stakeholder Management - Act as a point of contact for families and external bodies, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Care Planning - Help implement and monitor care strategies that meet the specific needs of service users.
Stakeholder Management - Manage staffing levels, ensuring adequate cover for both day and night shifts.
Operations Management - Contribute to audits, quality improvement initiatives, and the development of service policies.
Requirements:
Valid NMC Registration - (Essential)
Bachelor's degree in nursing - Mental Health/Learning Disabilities - (Essential)
Minimum 5 years' work experience in mental health nursing/learning disabilities with relevant group of Service Users - learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour adults (Essential)
Excellent communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for problem solving.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Compassionate and empathetic approach to service users’ care
Experience in managing service users’ acute episodes
Excellent knowledge of capacity assessments and DOL’s
Excellent knowledge about autism and LD
Excellent knowledge about reflective practice
Excellent restrain trained/knowledge – understanding of restrain reduction network
Excellent knowledge about communication programmes for adults with learning or communication difficulties
Expert knowledge about medication policies and procedures, related medication electronic systems and regulations
Experience in writing and updating care plans and risk assessments
