ESG Manager
Lewis Davey is recruiting an ESG Manager- all things CSRD. We are looking to speak with ESG experts who bring structure and compliance to the reporting piece and have a good grip of data, along with a collaborative approach. This is an in-house opportunity to join an owner, operator and developer of sustainable prime urban real estate. This role would suit someone with plc experience, perhaps a good consultancy-based background or big 4. Someone who is familiar with audits, how it works, how to prepare for it and how to strategise. Understanding all the risks, TCFD, TNFD, CSRD, GHG reporting, compliance and EU Taxonomy. I am keen to speak with those who are dedicated to broad subject of ESG and can articulate to multiple teams, c-suite and property manager. This is a London based role with some office presence throughout the week.
Role
ESG Strategy and advisory
Support the Head of ESG to deliver and promote the ESG Strategy through collaboration with the wider business
Ensure the Group's ESG framework aligns to emerging requirements and these are accounted for in planning processes
Proactively monitor group compliance with prevailing or future regulatory requirements (e.g. CSRD, TCFD, TNFD, EU taxonomy etc.)
Reporting
Develop and, working with internal and external stakeholders, deliver Group reporting and disclosure requirements for inclusion in Group Annual report and separate ESG Report
Design and deliver new reporting to comply with CSRD and associated requirements (i.e. EU Taxonomy). Which is effective for the Group from 1 January 2025.
Act as a conduit for ESG disclosure across the Group, ensuring accurate and timely recording aligned with the Group's ESG framework
Support reporting and disclosure to maximise coverage in external industry benchmarks
Participate in internal ESG reporting to Board,GEC, GMC, Communication, Squads etc. including explanation of new and emerging reporting requirements
Project management
Work with Asset Management Team to develop and ensure delivery of the ESG elements of the Asset Business Plans, coving all ESG pillars, focusing on compliance with regulation, corporate targets and external requirements
Oversee the maintenance of ISO140001 and ISO 50001 accreditations for Energy and Environmental Management Systems (EEMS) in accordance with company objectives
Stakeholder engagement
Represent externally at ESG events and forums to promote our strategy and achievements
Support management of ESG partners and supply chain
Support ESG engagement and materiality with key stakeholders including investors, joint venture partners and supply chain
What you'll need to succeed
Education/Qualifications:
Strong academic education and qualifications (ideally degree-level)
Ideally qualifications in ESG
Membership of a professional body (i.e. IEMA)
Essential Experience/Skills:
Experience of ESG reporting and public disclosure, ideally CSRD and EU Taxonomy
Good understanding of broader ESG regulations/market from a corporate perspective, ideally real estate
Excellent data management and reporting skills
Experience with climate transition strategies
Proven ability of working with key stakeholders including both internal and external parties
Experience of project management and reporting
Desirable Experience/Skills:
Previous real estate, or retail/leisure experience
Experience of maintaining an ISO140001/50001 certified Environment and Energy Management System
