CBT Therapist
NHS AfC: Band 7
Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our multi award winning Mental Health Support Team as a CBT Therapist. This diverse role involves supporting a small caseload of children and young people (CYP), alongside assisting low intensity CBT practitioners with Public Health England's Whole School Approach activities within designated education settings. This includes CYP and parent/carer drop-ins, training for education staff, and workshops with CYP/parents/carers.
The Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) support children and young people aged 5-18 within school and college settings who present with mild to moderate mental health or emotional health problems.
You will receive regular group and 1:1 clinical supervision, alongside monthly management supervision and support from the wider team. MHSTs also work closely with CAMHS and Healthy Minds Lincolnshire colleagues for support and shared learning.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, with flexible working patterns considered.
You will provide assessment and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for a range of presenting difficulties for which CBT is clinically effective.
This role offers a flexible working style, using a hybrid model to support education staff, children, young people, and their families both face-to-face and virtually.
You need to be enthusiastic, well-organized, and able to travel across Lincolnshire as needed. You will work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary setting. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
