The impact you will have in this role:
The Systems Engineering family is responsible for the entire technical effort to evolve and verify solutions that satisfy client needs. The primary focus is centered on reducing risk and improving the efficiency, performance, stability, security, and quality of all systems and platforms.
Develop, maintain, support, and continuously improve MQ and CICS infrastructure within the ownership of the Mainframe Message and Transactional Technologies team. Provide expert infrastructure oversight, ensuring successful delivery and performance of IT services for our clients and the fulfilment of our obligations and Service Levels Targets.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
* Installation, customization, and administration of WebSphere MQ and CICS on IBM Mainframe.
* Installation, customization, and administration of AbendAid, TMON, CICS Transaction Gateway, CICSPLEX, CAFC, INTERTEST and WTX on IBM Mainframe.
* Learn and master critical proprietary business systems built on CICS.
* Maintain MQ and CICS environments in compliance with the security guidelines.
* Assist with testing, implementation, and installation of CICS/MQ and associated software.
* Diagnose and resolve MQ/CICS system abends and abnormal operating problems using system logs, and other available logs and documents.
* Create, define, modify, and understand CICS configurations, CICS RDO definitions, CICS PLT Tables.
* Develop, maintain, and enhance in-house programs and utilities in COBOL, REXX, and Assembler.
* Experience of IBM SMP/E environment and ability to use SMP/E to install software.
* Ensure stability of the above-mentioned products in support of many critical business applications.
* Ability to deliver multiple concurrent agile projects/tasks on time and a focus on quality.
* Participate in weekend DR Tests, Performance Tests, Software Upgrades support, Client support calls etc.
* Participate in an on-call support rotation.
* Follow a rigorous ITIL-based process.
* Mitigate risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Qualifications:
* Minimum 8 years of related experience.
* Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Talents Needed for Success:
* 8+ years in a z/OS Environment with at least 6 years in Administrator Role for MQ/CICS.
* Experience in CTG, Abendaid, TMON, CICSPLEX, CAFC or similar tools.
* Strong knowledge of basic z/OS system programming internals such as JCLs, JOBs, PROCs, SCHEDULE, RACF, JES2, Virtual Memory.
* Thorough understanding of CICS Internals, CICS Tables, CICS Resources, CICS Datasets, CICS-RACF interface.
