Client Profile:
Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier within the automotive sector. They are looking to add a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team in Preston, PR2.
This Role:
You'll handle order processing, customer accounts, and shipment coordination, focusing on UK to EU exports. You'll analyse data, create sales reports, and maintain precise records. We seek someone passionate about international logistics, balancing customer needs with operational efficiency. This role is your gateway to global supply chain management, with growth opportunities in inventory, purchasing, and project management.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Order Processing: Manage sales orders efficiently and accurately to ensure timely fulfilment.
2. Customer Service: Address inquiries related to orders, shipments, and product availability, while resolving any discrepancies swiftly.
3. Sales Support: Provide key sales performance insights and manage product data across systems.
4. Logistics Management: Handle export shipments, liaise with freight partners, and ensure compliance with paperwork.
As you excel in these areas, you'll expand to:
1. Important Processes & Project Management: Engage with HQ and suppliers to optimise supply chain operations and support strategic initiatives.
2. Freight Rate And Negotiations: Work closely with forwarders to secure competitive rates.
Personal Specification:
The successful candidate for the role of Supply Chain Coordinator must have the following skills:
1. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
2. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
3. Excellent communication and time management skills.
4. Previous experience in a sales support or logistics is a plus.
5. Knowledge of a European language (e.g. German, French, Italian or Spanish) or Mandarin (preferred).
6. Experience with Oracle ERP or other enterprise resource planning software (preferred).
