Having opened its doors in 1922, the Club's building is full of history and character. With 110 bedrooms and 10 meeting and banqueting rooms, the Club is a truly hidden gem with modern and elegant interior and facilities. ROLE DESCRIPTION: To ensure that standards of service are maintained by offering courteous and efficient service to Members and Guests and contribute to the smooth running of the operation through team work. We are recruiting for casual and full-time Food and Beverage Assistants, within our Dining Room Restaurant. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Social Skills 1. To greets Members and Guest in a Courteous and efficient manner. 2. To address Members by Rank/Title if known. 3. To be discreet in the manner of service as not to interrupt conversations. 4. To be Alert and Positive in your Communication with members and guests. Service 1. Ensure that all service areas are prepared to the agreed standard by opening times. 2. Ensure that you read and understand all items on the Menus and Wine lists. 3. Ensure that you are aware of any items not available/in stock. 4. Serving and Clearing of service areas should be carried out to the agreed standard and with minimum inconvenience to members and guests. 5. To be alert at all times to the needs of members and inform the Dining Room Manager / Supervisors of any problems without delay. 6. Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in good order. 7. Be aware of member rules concerning public areas and ensure these are adhered to. Legal 1. To maintain standards of Hygiene in accordance with the current legislation. 2. To maintain standards of Fire Prevention in accordance with the Fire and Safety Act. 3. To adhere to club operating standards on weights and measures. Health and Safety 1. That any contraventions of the Clubs Policy concerning the Health and Safety are reported immediately to the Dining Room Managers / Supervisors. 2. Ensure full understanding of the Club's Health and Safety Policy. 3. During emergencies, ensure the safety of guests and staff and direct them to safety wherever possible. Control 1. Be aware of the importance of stock rotation, controls and levels. 2. Ensure all transactions are registered through the Micros point of sale system correctly. 3. Follow club procedure for handling and paying in of moneys. 4. Ensure that service areas are secure at closing time. Other Duties 1. To be willing to work in any Food and Beverage outlet within the Club as directed by your Manager. 2. Any other reasonable request made by the Manager / Supervisors / Duty Manager on duty.
