Lead Liaison Advisor - Water Quality

Salary: £32,210 - £40,263 (depending on experience)
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Advisor to join our busy Water Quality team. The team is responsible for ensuring we can demonstrate that Northumbrian Water & Essex and Suffolk Water meets our regulatory requirements for drinking water quality.
The successful candidate will maintain and enhance the positive reputation of Northumbrian Water during the completion of the Lead Replacement Programme by contributing to and ensuring the successful delivery of the project communications strategy and stakeholder management plan through the provision of technical advice and guidance in terms of lead risk.
You’ll be responsible for working with the Project Manager, maintaining excellent knowledge of the Lead Replacement Programme, including presence onsite while providing technical advice to both NWL colleagues and our customers.
You will support the identification of lead programme candidates through data analysis and engagement with external agencies.
About you
This is a wide-ranging, varied role, and you will be required to show an adaptable approach to prioritise your workload. We’re looking for someone with experience of regulations and risk assessment, with a degree in a relevant scientific subject.
Knowledge of drinking water regulations, water treatment, and distribution systems would be beneficial.
You’ll have proven experience consulting and influencing stakeholders and will work well in pressurised situations. Experience of presenting to large groups is desirable as the successful candidate will be required to do this as part of their role.
Being comfortable writing clear and concise reports is also essential, as well as being able to communicate with people on all levels.
