Job summary Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is looking to welcome a highly motivated and enthusiastic Deputy Clinical Endoscopy Manager in its Yeovil site You will work without direct supervision and will take charge of the endoscopy unit in the absence of the department manager, who holds continuing responsibility. We work closely with a range of multidisciplinary teams and work as advocates to ensure our patients have the best plan of care to ensure they have a positive journey throughout their hospital stay. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, where no day is the same, we'd welcome your application today Main duties of the job Reporting to the Endoscopy Unit Manager, the individual will be responsible for day to day supervision of the Endoscopy Unit; support to the Unit Manager; support the training for the Endoscopy team; provide Senior Nurse Site cover; provide advanced pre-assessment; provide and plan nursing care; and provide effective communication across the multi-disciplinary team. In addition, a contribution to the attainment of JAG Accreditation and operational delivery of the key performance indicators within the Endoscopy Unit will be expected. The individual will be expected to undertake, in the absence of the Unit Manager, key operational management duties such as HR and day to day unit supervision. The Deputy Clinical Endoscopy Manager will be expected to attend a number of key meetings, such as the Endoscopy User Group, Endoscopy Governance Group and the Senior Nurse Group.
