RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide realistic and practical technical solutions to operational engineering challenges.
* Evaluate existing and new manufacturers for technical competence and compliance.
* Perform technical studies in project-related technical issues and prepare reports.
* Review engineering and design proposals for large projects.
* Review and develop engineering and design documentation, including procedures, standards, and specifications (FEED).
* Experience on HAZOP / SIL assignments and knowledge of IEC 61511.
* Work collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers, and other internal personnel.
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and relevant authorities.
QUALIFICATIONS
* BSc in Electrical / Instrumentation or relevant Engineering area.
* Extensive experience in instrument and control engineering in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
* Middle East project experience is preferable (Gas Plants, Refineries, etc.).
* Must have experience working on FEED projects.
* In-depth knowledge of basic instrumentation and control including flow, level, pressure, temperature, and process analysis.
* Traceable experience in instrument selection related to process applications.
* Good knowledge of boiler control, process heater control, and process furnace control.
* Knowledge of materials and material selection for in-line instrumentation.
* Knowledgeable of electrical systems for instrumentation, including cabling and hazardous area design implementation.
* Very knowledgeable of national and international standards, especially ISA, ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, and IEC.
* Experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries with various instrument and control installations.
* Knowledge of Distributed Control System (DCS) and Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) implementation.
* Must be computer literate with advanced experience in office and technical software.
* Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal.
