Grow a Better Tomorrow with Nufarm.
We know that growing is about more than just crops and cultivation. It’s about sunshine and rain, early mornings and hard work. It can be frustratingly unpredictable but also wonderfully uplifting. More than anything, it’s about people. Nufarm is the dependable partner behind thousands of agricultural success stories. Every day, growers around the world turn to our products and our people to help with the challenges of fighting disease, weeds and pests, and to increase crop yields.
At Nufarm, we’re driven by what matters most to our customers.
We demonstrate our commitment by empowering our teams to deliver on this promise, equipping them with the tools, first-class industry knowledge, and support to make decisions that best serve our customers.
Through our passionate Nufarm team, we work closely with growers, understanding their unique challenges and providing tailored solutions to help them succeed. Whether it's offering hands-on assistance or ensuring timely delivery of products, together we are committed to making life easier for our customers. Through this customer-centric approach, we build long-lasting relationships based on trust, innovation, and a shared commitment to sustainable agriculture.
Process Manufacturing Apprentice
How can you unearth the possibilities with Nufarm?
Nufarm is now recruiting three new Process Manufacturing Apprentices at our Manufacturing site based in Wyke, Yorkshire!
Nufarm’s Apprenticeship Programme offers fantastic opportunities including a chance to earn while you learn. You will emerge with valuable qualifications and a wealth of experience that will open doors to a career in a world-class company.
During this 3-year apprenticeship program, you will learn how a chemical plant operates as detailed in Standard Operating Instructions and operate plant and equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures whilst maintaining the highest possible standards of health and safety compliance.
You will observe the operation of plant, equipment and services and report promptly any deficiencies and ensure all Process Documentation is completed correctly for all work carried out on shift.
Keep our environment safe by ensuring all protection systems are working perfectly. If you spot any issues, report them immediately and take action to fix them. Help keep our department running smoothly and maintain a clean workspace. Monitor processes, take readings and samples, and report anything unusual.
Plus, get the best of both worlds by studying for a technical and vocational qualification at college and Nufarm. Join us and make a difference!
What do you bring?
We look for excellent communication skills, good knowledge retention, and the ability to interpret written and verbal instructions.
You must have excellent timekeeping and attendance, a good overall attitude to work and college, and good team working skills.
To qualify for the role, you must have GCSEs grade 4 and above in English, Maths, and a relevant science subject.
What training will you receive?
The successful applicants will have training delivered by TIRO, which is delivered on site via teams. You will work to complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Process Manufacturing and gain real-life work experience.
What you need to know about the role
This workplace is a top-tier COMAH site and involves working with various chemicals with some dangerous properties. It therefore has strict health and safety working policies and requires some Personal Protective Equipment to be worn at all times (provided).
Upon qualifying, if you are employed, you may be required to work shifts which include nights, days, and weekends on a rotational basis (2 days, 2 nights, four off for 7 weeks and then 18 days off).
Application process
Apply for the role by emailing your CV or applying directly to our career site.
You will then attend an interview assessment day.
That’s just what we think, we’d love to hear from you what you think is possible. #unearththepossibilities
