Job summary Vacancy Subject to Job Matching An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our team to deliver a service to children with a range of speech, language and communication needs in East Cheshire. The post holder will work with children under the guidance and direction of our qualified Speech and Language Therapists to assist and support the delivery of high quality and bespoke intervention. This role will be based in a variety of settings including community clinics, nurseries, primary schools and home environments. The post holder will work closely with teaching staff, parents and some other allied health professionals to provide a coordinated service to the children and young people in East Cheshire. The post holder will have knowledge of child development and experience in carrying out care programmes. They will be confident in demonstrating and explaining advice and strategies to teaching staff and parents. The post holder will be an integral part of a supportive and innovative team where training and personal development is actively encouraged. Hours per week: 22.5 Main duties of the job To work under the guidance of a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to deliver intervention to children and young people with a range of needs including language difficulties and speech sound disorder.
