Our client is a small and rapidly growing e-Commerce business providing specialist gifts.
Job Description
The Operations Manager is a newly created role and will report to the CEO and be responsible for the operations team. Based in Luton, the key focus for this role is to manage the inbound logistics, on-site production/warehousing, and to ensure orders are delivered to happy customers on time and within budget. Key responsibilities will include:
* The leadership and management of on-site production, logistics, and customer service teams.
* Taking supply chain plans to assess production requirements and storage/distribution actions.
* Maximising margins by reducing costs and increasing efficiency through supply chain processes.
* Planning for growth by identifying ways to scale production and dispatch capacity through both equipment utilisation and lean processes.
* Ensuring operational compliance with regulatory legislation, including on-site Health & Safety.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Operations Manager will live within a commuting distance of Luton and be able to demonstrate the following experience:
* You will have previous experience in leading logistics and small-scale production teams.
* Previous experience within an online start-up business where you have scaled operations to support rapid growth would be advantageous.
* A hands-on approach and a positive, supportive, and solutions-driven mindset.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with all levels of customers, suppliers, and team members.
* Be flexible and proactive with an ability to plan and schedule workload effectively.
What's on Offer
A competitive basic salary of £50,000 - £60,000 (based on experience)
