Saltaire Brewery Ltd. is an independent brewery based in Yorkshire, England, known for brewing internationally award-winning beer since 2006. Located on the outskirts of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Saltaire, we take pride in brewing honest beer with real character.
We’re on the lookout for a National Account Manager to drive the growth of our off-trade business, managing key national accounts while developing new opportunities to get Saltaire’s beers into the hands of more customers across the UK.
This role is perfect for a dynamic, commercially driven professional with a passion for the craft beer industry and a proven track record in account management and business development in the off-trade sector. You’ll be leading sales strategies, building strong relationships with clients, and ensuring commercial success—all while working flexibly in a hybrid role with a base in Shipley and the freedom to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Business Development:
* Manage and grow relationships with key national off-trade accounts, ensuring strong long-term partnerships.
* Identify new business opportunities and successfully pitch Saltaire’s products to national retailers, wholesalers, and e-commerce platforms.
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand Saltaire’s presence in the off-trade market.
Sales & Commercial Strategy:
* Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring commercial terms align with business objectives.
* Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and drive performance.
* Own and manage the P&L for off-trade accounts, optimizing pricing, promotions, and profitability.
Industry Engagement & Market Insights:
* Build strong customer relationships, understanding their needs to deliver tailored solutions.
* Travel for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows, representing the Saltaire brand.
* Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and category innovations.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in National Account Management & Business Development within the off-trade channel (grocers, wholesalers, convenience, or e-commerce).
Exceptional sales & negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
A data-driven mindset—ability to analyse sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to drive growth.
Commercial acumen & P&L understanding—a strategic thinker who can balance growth with profitability.
A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Flexibility to travel for key client meetings and industry events.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience in the beer, beverage, or FMCG industry.
