Deployment Manager Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Deployment Manager to join our digital team in Compass Group UK&I. Reporting to the Head of Digital Deployment, you will be responsible for the unit deployments of our award-winning digital restaurant solutions, bringing together apps, POS, kiosks, AI tray scanning, and many more features under our own Time2Eat brand. Currently, we are live in over 300 outlets and growing.
As a deployment SME, you will work with some of the most prestigious client brands and locations across our UK&I sectors. Engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-sector operations teams, you will determine & advise on the best digital solutions that excite our customers, driving efficiency & profitability.
You will oversee, plan, and lead multi-site mobilizations, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and deliver on actions and timescales. You will also work closely with our third-party providers to ensure all deployments are scalable, agile, and delivered at pace.
As a “mobile worker,” there is a requirement to visit sites and office locations across the UK&I. You will also be expected to attend the office a minimum of one day per week.
The Role:
1. Lead SME on deployment of all Compass UK&I digital restaurant omni-channel solutions and their capability, application, and usage.
2. Work with sector leads and operation teams to problem-solve and interpret business needs, taking problem statements and delivering a digital solution that enhances the customer experience, delights our consumers, and delivers both sales and performance.
3. Identify and recommend “best fit” digital solutions for the business operating model.
4. Accountable for the delivery of all digital deployments. Work with the team to ensure all projects are delivered to plan. Manage and mitigate risk, ensuring all accountable stakeholders are aligned and communicated to.
5. Act as senior lead/PM on large or complex mobilizations. Work with senior stakeholders and leadership teams as required. Set clear objectives for the business and ensure all responsibilities are understood and met.
6. Responsible for the upkeep of all central mobilization and rollout plans, including central deployment schedules and project reporting tools. Support Head of Deployment with reporting requirements.
7. Develop and build processes enabling faster, more agile deployments of our restaurant solutions. Actively contribute to the strategy helping to streamline timelines, processes, and overhead for unit teams and clients.
8. Support with the day-to-day management and upkeep of our electronic onboarding portal. Work closely with Product Managers to ensure all product enhancements, developments, and updates are embedded across the existing estate and present in all new deployments.
9. Act as the gatekeeper and point of contact for all T2E digital leads operating in sectors.
Skills/Experience Required:
1. Track record in mobilizations and stakeholder management at senior levels.
2. Proven operational mobilization experience - hands-on with the ability to work dynamically.
3. Experience and a track record in Digital Transformation Projects.
4. Experience and enthusiasm in App or Digital Product development/implementation.
5. Project management skills with desired experience & qualifications.
6. Good knowledge of MS Project and associated tools and processes.
7. Ability to build rapport and lead a team to success. Must be a great team player.
8. Inquisitive, actively contributes and participates – happy to take lead and initiative.
9. Strong presentation & interpersonal skills.
