The Role:
Working as part of a small, busy enforcement team within the wider planning/development management section, you will be responsible for visiting and researching sites and premises and investigating alleged breaches of planning control by informally and formally negotiating resolutions; in addition to engaging with the legal team to instigate and deliver the formal enforcement process.
The post will provide an excellent opportunity to work within a busy development management team, to gain further experience of the overarching planning process and to work closely with planning, legal, conservation and tree colleagues. Negotiation skills are essential as is the ability to work within a customer focused environment where tact, patience and diplomacy are essential.

About You:
We’re looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic, a good communicator and can play close attention to detail.
You will either have experience of working in a role where enforcing rules or legislation was a central part of your job, or experience of working in planning and/or planning enforcement, or a qualification in town planning or a related discipline.
