Overview
We are the Renault Trucks dealer for Cornwall and Devon. We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, demonstrating proficiency with vehicle inspections and MOT test preparation. Experience in electronic diagnostics would be useful but training will be provided. You will be required to be on call on a rota basis.
Duties
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and operational.
* Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
* Maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles.
* Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed.
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's condition and required services.
* Conduct equipment repairs and maintain workshop cleanliness and organisation.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of vehicle systems.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
* Ability to weld and fabricate components as necessary.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
* Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on client satisfaction.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A valid driving licence is preferred.
