To support our continuing growth, we are seeking to appoint a new Lecturer in Business Management within the Department of Management, located within Glasgow School for Business and Society. The School delivers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the area of international business, social innovation, management, and operations/supply chain management, with programmes accredited by CMI, CIPS and CILT.
As a Lecturer in Strategic Management you will have a focus on providing high-quality learning and teaching that is underpinned by scholarly activity. We are keen to receive applications from people who will enhance our delivery of and reputation in the Strategic Management and related subject areas. Applicants must hold a relevant doctoral qualification, ideally in the Strategic Management subject area, or in combination with a relevant Masters qualification. Applicants should demonstrate significant recent experience of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level within the UK education context. Industry experience would be considered an advantage.
Lecturers are expected to contribute to the delivery and assessment of existing modules, supervision, and the enhancement of the student experience across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes such as our BA (Hons) Business Management and MSc International Business Management. Prior experience of supporting student learning, teaching and assessment in higher education is essential and/or in industry/practice settings is desired. A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE is desirable. The post holder will also be expected to contribute to ensuring curricula are current and compliant with internal and external regulatory frameworks.
