Job Description:
HR Manager (People Advisory) - 12 month FTC
Flexible on GTUK location + hybrid working, ideally will require 1 day a week in our London office

This opportunity is a key role within the team that drives people initiatives and is responsible for the delivery of the firm’s annual performance, talent, and reward cycle, managing employee relations case work, and supporting the delivery of the people strategy.

A look into the role
Grant Thornton’s Advisory business is comprised of teams providing professional services to the financial services industry, large corporates, and government bodies. As a Manager within our Advisory People Advisory team, you will:
* Act as a trusted advisor on HR matters to Partners and key stakeholders, advising on talent management, employee relations, inclusion and diversity, and engagement.
* Be responsible for ensuring the team delivers against our people strategy and the annual people cycle, working collaboratively with the wider People Advisory team, Advisory People Director, and central People & Culture teams.
* Be organised and responsible for generating and managing your own work, identifying potential areas for improvement and collaborating with others to drive transformation.
* Take people management responsibility for the team; coaching and developing them to reach their potential, ensuring they understand the team’s purpose and supporting them to prioritise the delivery of key outputs.
* Do what’s right ahead of what’s easy. The work that you will do has a major impact on our people, clients, and our firm. We pride ourselves on the high standards and you will role model these behaviours.
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as a HR Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
* Demonstrable experience in HR generalist or business partnering roles delivering pragmatic and commercial people advice.
* Experience of how you have personally delivered operational excellence and value-add people projects at service line or firm level.
* Experience of managing others, coaching them to produce high standards of work and creating a working environment where people have flourished.
* A confident communicator – you can talk about how you have built trust and offered proactive solutions and ideas.
* Strong stakeholder management and project management skills.
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way:
* You’ll ideally be CIPD level 7 qualified.
* You’ll have previous work experience in a professional services environment.
* You’ll be confident in using Microsoft packages, HR systems, and dashboards to interpret and present data to help inform insights.
* Have a passion to deliver an exceptional people experience.
* Have a positive, growth mindset and a continuous improvement approach.
