We're looking for someone who has hands-on plastering/rendering experience who would want to transition into an internal role. Our client is a manufacturer of mortar, plaster, and render. They are looking for a Technical Product Advisor to be based in Much Wenlock (TF13).
Working as part of a small team, your communication skills and product sector knowledge will enable you to take on or assist in early ownership of these sustainable product solutions. The company is looking for an enthusiastic person ideally with an interest in sustainable building practices.

Key Objectives:
1. Working within the technical team to provide product technical advice to customers, specifiers, and distributors on our innovative range of building products including internal and external wall insulation systems, render, and plaster.
2. Regularly monitoring the technical enquiries email inbox.
3. Answering telephone calls.
4. Monitoring stock of samples and replenishing when low.
5. Making samples when required, including mixing and application of product.
6. Supporting and leading product training days on and off site.
7. Conducting practical demos on and off site.
8. Providing correct technical information to all departments and customers quickly and efficiently to maximise sales opportunities.
9. Any other duties as reasonably requested by management.
10. Providing advice on product and support on project detailing including interpreting plans and drawings, specifications, calculations, warranties, and providing analysis on U-values and interstitial condensation training to be given.
11. The successful candidate may also be required to conduct site visits and product demonstrations where required, although this may not be often.
Key Skills:
The successful candidate will need to have a level of understanding of internal/external wall insulation materials, plastering materials, and building methods. Knowledge of ecological products would be an advantage, however not essential. The company's focus is on finding the right individual; full training will be provided.
You will also:
1. Demonstrate a desire to work in an office environment where you can utilise your expertise to offer technical assistance.
2. Be a plasterer/renderer by trade, ideally.
3. Have a basic understanding of UK building regulations.
4. Have an understanding of building types including modern and solid walled buildings.
5. Have good communication skills and be numerate.
6. Be a good team player.
7. Be able to work on your own initiative and have good organisational skills.
8. Be able to work towards resolving customer problems and maintain high standards of customer care.
9. Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK.
