BHRUT is working to implement a new cross care setting, real-time, patient-centered Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system that will improve the quality and delivery of care to the patient. The new system Oracle Health Millennium will be implemented as a domain extension from Barts Health to BHRUT and will be deployed across the Trust in June 2025.
We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EPR Cutover Manager to join the BHRUT EPR Programme team, taking a senior role in leading the development and then management of the Cutover Plan, enabling the system’s transition into the live environment and operational use. The Cutover Manager will also need to design and run the early live support processes to facilitate a go-live across both our hospitals, acting as a technical lead and expert, working in collaboration with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders, as well as SMEs across data migration, interfacing, informatics, and infrastructure to ensure the programme go-live is a success.
The postholder must be able to demonstrate proficiency and competence in all technical areas for which they are responsible. In addition, they must be conversant and recognise the importance of proper change control throughout the solution.
The EPR Cutover Manager will lead the planning and execution of the cutover phase of the Trust's Electronic Patient Record (EPR) implementation. The postholder will ensure a seamless transition from legacy systems and paper-based processes to the new EPR, minimising disruption to clinical and operational services. They will collaborate closely with clinical, operational, and technical teams to design and deliver a robust cutover strategy, enabling the Trust to realise the full benefits of the EPR system.
The post holder will be responsible for:
1. Leading the development and execution of a detailed cutover plan, ensuring alignment with overall programme milestones and objectives.
2. Collaborate closely with Oracle Health (Cerner) representatives and the Trust’s implementation teams to design a cutover strategy tailored to the Millennium system.
3. Manage the transition from legacy systems/paper to the new EPR system, ensuring all technical, operational, and clinical requirements are met.
4. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with cutover activities to minimize disruption to services.
5. Manage Millennium-specific data migration and integration activities, ensuring alignment with Cerner’s best practices and tools.
6. Coordinate data migration activities in collaboration with technical leads, ensuring accuracy and integrity of transferred data.
7. Coordinate system readiness, including validation of data conversion, interfaces, and configurations within the Millennium platform.
