We have an exciting opportunity, supporting a pre FEED study for a key player in the oil and gas industry. It is expected that this project will run for 6-12 months with follow on work. The project will look at repurposing and extending the life of an an existing terminal and include electrical network rationalisation, new substations, optioneering and cost estimation. The role offers a flexible working arrangement (office/remote) and the opportunity in to thrive as part of multi discipline team operating in an excellent work environment As a client facing Principal Engineer, your responsibilities will include some or all of the following: Allocating work and ensuring delivery against plan Deliver high-quality electrical engineering tasks to schedule, budget and client satisfaction Ensuring all applicable national and international codes of practice, legislation and company/client standards and procedures are complied with Obsolescence management Production of surveys, load lists, equipment specifications, equipment sizing calculations, scope of work for equipment refurbishment We are interested in applications from candidates with a good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements of the discipline. They will have a good background with electrical engineering in the Oil & Gas sector with extensive knowledge of UK legislation and standards. They will understand the requirements for installation of equipment in process plants involving potentially explosive areas and hold an awareness of risk identification, quantification, management and of HSE requirements. This is an outside IR35 contract.
