We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our teams in and around Preston, Blackburn, Blackpool, Lancaster, and Wigan. In this role, you'll have the chance to inspire and mentor KS3 and KS4 students in their scientific studies. Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
2. Strong knowledge of the curriculum
3. Punctual and reliable
4. Teach classes allocated and provide a well-planned, challenging, purposeful learning environment
5. Develop an approach to self-directed learning, using technology to support learning
6. Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
7. Set homework and mark promptly
8. Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
9. Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
10. Respond to questioning
11. Supervise and support students in laboratory experiments and research projects.
