Cheam Academies Network: CEO Post
For September 2025 (or earlier)
Salary: Starting salary up to £165k FTE
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a Trust that is committed to local high quality education and is held in high esteem within the area. The role will provide the challenge of scale (with over 3500 students) whilst maintaining direct contact with school improvement through close working with Headteachers and senior leaders.
We have the flexibility to offer this role on a full-time (5 days) or part-time basis (3 or 4 days). The salary offered will depend on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate. This could be up to £165k, with a range to allow for future progression.
We are looking for someone with the passion, energy, drive and focus to ensure the continued success of the Trust. You will need to have a strong moral commitment to giving every child the best possible provision, with the ability to drive improvement, whilst also having the skills to manage the complexities of an organisation with 450+ staff and a turnover exceeding £28 million.
We expect you to be able to advise and support the Headteachers and other senior staff in their role, holding them to account, whilst also ensuring that operations such as HR and Finance work effectively. You need high quality administration and analytical skills alongside vision, imagination and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
Cheam Academies Network (CAN) is based in the London Borough of Sutton and is a secondary Trust of 3500 students across two schools. Both schools are inclusive in nature and are currently judged Outstanding and Good by Ofsted.
