Job Title: Fire Damper Remedial Engineer.
Location: Coventry, West Midlands.

We have an exciting opportunity for a diligent and hard-working Fire Damper Remedial Engineer to join an industry-leading provider of Fire Damper services in the Midlands region. You will be working on High Security / Government sites carrying out testing, repairs, and replacements of fire dampers, ensuring they are in safe and full working order. Holding experience in installing and modifying duct work and holding the NVQ L2 in duct work would be beneficial to the role. Experience & Qualifications:
1. Will have experience working hands-on as a Fire Damper Remedial Engineer for a reputable company and will be able to confidently carry out the testing, repairs, and replacement of fire dampers.
2. Will ideally hold the NVQ L2 in Duct Work.
3. Holding a fire industry recognized qualification would be beneficial to the role.
4. Will have up-to-date knowledge of relevant BS 9999 / Health and Safety guidelines.
5. Excellent IT skills, able to produce detailed reports to clients.
6. Good time management skills, able to work in line with strict deadlines.
7. Keen eye for detail.
8. Excellent work ethic with a willingness to learn and develop.
The Role:
1. Attending client sites to carry out assessments of fire damper operations, efficiently identifying and recording any issues.
2. Routinely testing and maintaining fire dampers, ensuring they are in safe working condition.
3. Rectifying any faults in a timely manner through cleaning, repairing, or replacing fire dampers when necessary.
4. Completing detailed reports for clients ensuring to document any details about faults, inspections, and actions taken to rectify faults.
5. Installing and modifying duct work on site when required.
6. Liaising with clients, providing excellent support and advice when required.
7. Ensuring all equipment is in good working order to ensure accuracy.
8. Carrying out work in line with BS 9999 / Health and Safety guidelines.
9. Working in line with company and client needs, ensuring work is carried out in line with agreed timeframes.
Overall, the successful candidate will bring their excellent technical experience working in the fire risk industry and will demonstrate a strong work ethic. Prospective candidates must also be prepared to travel extensively as per client requirements.
