Key Responsibilities of a Hospital Secretary
* Patient Interaction : Admitting patients and assisting them with forms and other administrative procedures.
* Appointment Management : Scheduling and confirming medical appointments and procedures to ensure efficient patient flow.
* Record Keeping : Recording and filing patients' information, including personal details, medical histories, and insurance information.
* Billing and Insurance : Processing patient billing and assisting with medical insurance claims to ensure proper reimbursement.
* Communication : Answering incoming phone calls and emails, accurately conveying messages, and dealing with inquiries from patients and staff.
* Administrative Support : Taking minutes during meetings, arranging travel itineraries for medical staff, and managing diaries for healthcare professionals.
* Inventory Management : Maintaining inventories of medical supplies and ordering supplies as necessary to support clinical operations.
Data Management : Creating, updating, and managing spreadsheets and medical databases to keep track of important information
Working Hours:
o Band 3 - Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Rate of pay is £11.67 per hour and will be paid on a weekly basis
