Track record delivering IT Infrastructure projects across a range of technologies.
Working as a team and mentoring junior support staff.
Strong communication skills, with experience at a senior level.
Ability to operate independently and take accountability for the delivery of major initiatives.
Design and planning of disaster recovery, systems capacity, performance, availability, and security for both internal and external systems and networks.
3+ years relevant business experience.
Broad understanding of project methodologies and when they are appropriate.
Good working knowledge of Telephony, IP PBXs, and Dialler systems in a call centre environment.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
The following is a list of technical skill sets and experience that would be beneficial:
Operating Software
* Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 Administration
* Active Directory including Azure AD
* Roaming profiles, group policies, replication, remote software distribution, sites and services configuration
* Remote Desktop Services
* Understanding of Windows 2012 RDS application management and deployment
* Exchange Online (Installation, replication, capacity and performance tuning, message tracking, archiving)
* Vmware and SAN Technologies (Virtualisation and network storage infrastructure, configuration/maintenance of Vmware ESX 5.x)
* Windows 10 Administration
* HP (Rack mounted servers, RAID array configuration, rack switching, processor and memory upgrading, KVM switching, LTO4 tape autoloaders/drives)
* Cisco (Cisco 3750 and 3560 switches, ASA 5540 firewalls)
Networking
* IP (IP, ADSL and MPLS networks, Cisco VPN configuration, firewalls, routing, VLAN configuration, Cat 5 patching, capacity planning, teaming and route aggregation)
Telephony
* Support and deployment of handsets and headsets, configuration (e.g. user management, extension allocation, Vector, VDN assignment), capacity planning, IVM, RTA, upgrades, and patching
* Management, retrieval, archiving, capacity and performance monitoring
* IVR (Experience with inbound and outbound IVR integration would be useful)
* Fibre (First line support, fault monitoring, LAN extension, PRI, SIP)
Security
Understanding of security technologies to support regulatory compliance (i.e. PCI/ISO, Websense, Mimecast, Pen Testing, Sophos).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the IT Manager (Technical Delivery), your responsibilities will include:
* Capacity planning
* Preventative maintenance
* Resolve 3rd line support issues for key business systems
* Proactively manage the IT infrastructure to ensure maximum system uptime
* Develop and maintain IT procedural/process documentation in line with PCI DSS and ITIL requirements
* Maintain a viable IT Business continuity and disaster recovery infrastructure as per business requirements
* Mentor junior support staff and assist where necessary
* Assist in system capacity planning
* Constantly review the current IT infrastructure and propose improvements
* Installation, configuration and maintenance of key IT systems including Microsoft servers, switches, SANS, Vmware, telephony systems, and firewalls
