Langfields, a leading fabrication company, is seeking a skilled and motivated Working Welding Chargehand to join our team at our Dunfermline facility. About the Role As a Working Welding Chargehand, you will play a key role in overseeing welding operations while actively contributing to fabrication work. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality welding of stainless and carbon steel pipework for the oil & gas industry. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both technical expertise and the ability to supervise and mentor a team of welders. Key Responsibilities: Leading and supervising a team of welders, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards. Welding stainless and carbon steel pipework to industry specifications. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. Coordinating workload distribution and supporting project deadlines. Conducting inspections and quality checks on welded components. Liaising with supervisors and project managers to ensure efficient operations. Requirements: Proven experience as a Welding Chargehand or in a similar supervisory role. Strong welding experience in stainless and carbon steel pipework, ideally within the oil & gas industry. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures. Knowledge of welding codes and industry standards. Strong I.T skills and able/willing to communicate in detail via email. Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support team members.
