The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for reporting requirements of the group including the year-end audit process, statutory accounts preparation and monthly reporting packs for the Board. In addition, the role will oversee the consolidation process and ensure consistency in applying accounting policies and estimates across the group. Main Responsibilities (but not limited to): · Oversee and manage the end to end month end close process for the Group, ensuring deadlines are met. · Lead, mentor and develop a team of qualified accountants · Balance Sheet reconciliation review and improvement along with improving financial controls across the group, · Coordinating, communicating and running the month end management accounts preparation; · Capex reporting improvements and maintenance of the fixed asset register · Identify and support the implementation of process improvements to develop the management accounting functions; · Assist with preparation of tax, VAT and papers and schedules to support external reporting and financial statement disclosures; · Providing information to external auditors and tax advisors where necessary; · Preparation of the transfer pricing calculations for the group at year-end and liaising with Tax advisors during the year to monitor any changes required to the transfer pricing model. · Experience of an ERP implementation as part of a company-wide systems change which involves business process developments. · Ongoing support to the CFO and wider organization on an ongoing basis Education and Experience: Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA). Background in audit, with relevant follow-on experience in a similar organisation Advanced Excel skill set. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Skills and Competencies: Strong managerial skills and technical skills, with knowledge of FRS 102 and Companies Act reporting In depth understanding of UK financial reporting requirements Experience of using accounting software Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
