The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Associate Director of Finance - WYAAT Finance lead (Band 9) The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTH) is the primary provider of acute and specialist services to the city of Leeds and surrounding areas, serving an immediate population of over 750,000 people. We are proud to provide a range of services including cancer, neurosurgery, heart surgery, liver and kidney transplantation, as well as being one of the biggest providers of specialised services in England. Our core values represent what we as an organisation, and the individuals who make up that organisation, are about. It is our aim that everything we do fits in with, and reinforces, these values: we are patient-centred, collaborative, fair, accountable and empowered. We are proud to be part of the West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts (WYAAT), a collaborative of the six acute NHS trusts from across West Yorkshire and Harrogate that forms the acute sector arm of the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership (WY HCP). Our provider collaborative aims to work differently, innovate and to tackle healthcare inequalities at their roots. We strive to be at the forefront of change and transformation to ensure everyone has the best possible access to care across our populations and local communities. The Associate Director of Finance – WYAAT Finance lead, is a pivotal role and will support the WYAAT Directors of Finance Group as a member of the WY HCP Finance Forum. Reporting to the WYAAT Director, and accountable to the Chair of the WYAAT DoFs group, this senior role will facilitate the delivery of the financial elements of a portfolio of collaborative, transformation initiatives that will underpin the strategy and help contribute to financial sustainability across the region. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join at a crucial time as we look to break the boundaries and potential financial flows between partner organisations, focusing on enabling a financial solution to the most effective pathway for patients. Our future AD of Finance (WYAAT) will develop, challenge, review and understand the implications of current programme schemes and the implications on all partners to enable inclusion and partnership working in financial plans. As Finance Lead for the collaborative, you will review our current savings and efficiency plans across the programmes in WYAAT, to assess the probability of achievement and implications on all partner organisations to achieve success. We are looking for collaborative, driven and adaptable leaders with a strong ability to influence and drive forward the strategic direction for our services. We are seeking a motivated and aspirational leader with significant experience in financial leadership roles. You must be skilled at articulating a compelling long-term financial vision, working in collaboration with other financial leaders across organisational boundaries and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. In return, you could be part of an upward journey, in which there is both permission and support to be innovative, in order to ensure that LTH and WYAAT develop a region-wide, efficient and sustainable healthcare system that embraces the latest thinking and best practice to consistently deliver the highest quality of care and the best possible outcomes for patients. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and welcome applications from underrepresented groups. In recruiting to our organisation, we are committed to equality of opportunity for all. We believe that the best organisations are those that reflect the communities they serve. We especially welcome applications from candidates from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic heritage, LGBTQ communities, and from people with lived experience of disability.
