Our front end is the last place our customers visit, their final point of contact during their shopping trip. It's where we have an opportunity to leave a lasting impression by providing friendly and courteous service as they complete their orders.
What You'll Do:
1. Provide friendly and attentive customer service as you oversee the day-to-day operations of the front end and supervise front end associates/cashiers.
2. Cultivate and maintain excellent customer relations and service levels.
3. Ensure a friendly, professional, and well-organized image for the front end, vestibule, and parking lot.
4. Handle selection, training, development, and scheduling of cashiers/front end associates.
5. Ensure proper product handling and compliance with all legal/regulatory aspects of the front end (i.e., alcohol/tobacco sales, WIC, food stamps).
Job Requirements:
1. Previous related retail/customer service and supervisory experience is ideal.
2. Friendly and courteous demeanor to provide excellent customer service.
3. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
5. Excellent communication and organization/prioritization skills.
6. Basic computer skills and/or the ability to learn how to operate a cash register, scanner, telephone system, and scale.
7. Ability to handle money and other forms of payment.
8. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
