The Role: They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in house building to join their team. The successful candidate will have experience working for reputable house-building firms and will be responsible for managing the cost control, financial planning, and procurement processes on multiple residential projects. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates and budgets for house-building projects from inception to completion. Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning, ensuring value for money without compromising on quality. Manage the procurement of subcontractors and materials, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with quality standards. Monitor and track project costs, identifying potential variances and implementing corrective actions where necessary. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and costs, liaising with project teams to resolve any issues. Prepare accurate tender documentation and assist with the selection and negotiation of contractors. Prepare monthly cost reports for senior management, highlighting key issues, project status, and financial forecasts. Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle. Provide support to project managers and senior management in all financial matters related to house-building projects. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential sector, particularly in house building. Previous experience working with reputable house-building firms is essential. A degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying (RICS accredited preferred). Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control procedures. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using Quantity Surveying software and MS Office Suite. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
