We are seeking to appoint a Business Support Officer to support our clinical team delivering Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) services across the Borough of Halton (Widnes and Runcorn).
As part of a small-knit Business Support Team, you will be working closely with the Operations Lead and Senior Business Support Officer, to provide vital administrative, customer service and scheduling support for our existing team of Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) / Speech and Language Therapy Assistants (SLTAs).
The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring that service users have an understanding of the service offer, are kept informed and experience efficiency and professionalism from our whole team.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide administration, diary management and customer service support for our existing team of Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) / Speech and Language Therapy Assistants (SLTAs).
They will communicate with: the SLT's business support team, led by the Operations lead, and the delivery team, liaising with parents, advisors, education and health partners.

Job responsibilities
The core responsibilities will be to:
* Work within the Business Support and wider team, assisting where directed, in a pro-active and professional manner.
* Take responsibility to ensure administrative and customer service practices are of a high quality.
* Follow up enquiries, escalations and complaints from parents/carers, the children's workforce and partners.
* Maintain records and electronic filing up to date.
* Proofread, format, edit and update clinical documents (with training and guidance) as required by the business.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
* Business support or customer service related qualification.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Behaves in line with Communicate SLT CIC's values.
* Understand GDPR legislation and handling of confidential information.
* Driving licence and ability to drive to different hub locations.
* The ability to visit our Lancashire headquarters if required.
Experience
* Experience of managing appointments and scheduling.
* Experience of the Microsoft 365 Office Suite including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Excel and Word.
* Experience of working in a fast-paced admin support role.
* Experience in customer service industry.
* Experience working in the health or education sector in a customer-facing role.
