About The Role
Responsible to Senior Philanthropy Manager (Trusts and Foundations). To raise philanthropic gifts from UK and international trusts and foundations, primarily but not exclusively, in support of our upcoming major philanthropic campaign aligned to the Warwick Arts Centre and Faculty of Arts.
You will be a confident, engaging and enthusiastic fundraiser, responsible for building and maintaining strong, professional and rewarding partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations, including their Trustees and key foundation staff.
Managing a dynamic portfolio of trusts and foundations, you will be an excellent writer with the expertise to craft and lead compelling, high-quality proposals to secure a sustainable pipeline of 5/6 figure gifts for the University. You will also ensure the appropriate stewardship of current donors.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
We’re looking for an effective communicator who will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop mid-range fundraising opportunities to cultivate a sustainable pipeline of trust and foundation fundraising for the University, aligned to Warwick Arts Centre and Faculty of Arts.
Previous Experience
1. Experience of trust and foundation fundraising with a proven track record of securing 5/6 figure grants, preferably in the arts.
2. Experience of building partnerships with trusts and foundations including trustees and foundation staff.
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to draft compelling trusts and foundations proposals.
4. Experience of understanding, creating and delivering a stewardship journey, including report writing.
5. Experience of working in a target driven environment.
6. Experience of working within a complex work environment.
7. Proven experience of client/stakeholder management.
Knowledge And Skills
1. Emotional intelligence: including self-awareness and the ability to relate interpersonally with people of different interests, cultures and nationalities.
2. Demonstrable listening skills and empathy.
3. Experienced problem solver, with the ability to think creatively.
4. Ability to work within a team.
5. Proven persuasion and negotiation skills.
6. Practical knowledge of database management and use of standard IT packages (Microsoft).
7. Sound organisational skills.
