Where you will be working:
The care home is located in the lovely village of Ewerby (5 miles to the East of Sleaford). The home is set around a lovely old vicarage, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that we seek for our homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal care, including nursing and dementia care, for 42 residents.

* Relevant Professional qualification (e.g. Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD).
* Minimum of one year experience in residential / nursing home setting of which at least one year must be with people living with dementia.
* Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
* Full Driving Licence.
* To ensure knowledge is gained to demonstrate a good understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.
* Satisfactory Care Character Assessment
* Live within 30 minutes of the Home
Your daily duties in the role:
* Joining the brilliant Maintenance Team and carrying out the day-to-day maintenance of the Home and its services and grounds/gardens, to ensure that it is a safe and desirable place for our residents to live, and for team members to work in.
* Working with the Home Manager, Clinical Lead and other trained nurses in the Home, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate quality nursing care to ensure the highest standards of care are always delivered to our residents. This should ensure positive outcomes for our residents including, inter alia: no pressure sores, no unavoidable weight loss (or gain), safe administration of medication, and all falls are minimised.
* Supporting our carers to provide personal care and support with daily activities such as washing, dressing and eating.
* Administering medication, writing and updating nursing care plans and keeping accurate daily records, as well as keeping all mandatory training up to date and completing additional training as required.
* Promoting our resident’s choice, dignity and independence at all times and assisting with the management of the care team, completing all action plans and ensuring care plans are updated and evaluated regularly.
