Religious Education (RE) & PSHE Teacher A ‘Good’ mixed Secondary in Luton is looking to appoint a full-time Teacher of RE and PSHE. Religious education provides students the opportunity to explore their own, and others’, beliefs on key issues that affect them and society. The school aims to encourage students to take pride in themselves and their views, and to be empathetic and supportive of other beliefs. The school follows the AQA curriculum for GCSE and OCR for A-level. Are you suitable? As a teacher of RE & PSHE you must be confident to teach both subjects and it is vital that you are confident to teach the topic of sex education which will be part of the PSHE curriculum. The school is ideally looking for a FQT or ECT however someone with a high level of experience teaching these subjects up to A-Level may be considered. You will need to be an enthusiastic and inspiring individual that is passionate about challenging young peoples minds in the subject of Religious Education & PSHE.
