This role will see the successful candidate responsible for assisting the assurance of the Quality system in an aircraft maintenance environment in accordance with the requirements of the UK CAA, EASA, and various National Regulatory bodies regarding the maintenance approvals of the company. The suitable candidate will demonstrate excellent knowledge of Part 66, CAMO, and Part 145 audits, including maintenance sample audits and aircraft inspections - seamlessly communicating findings both in written and verbal manner.

The Role:
1. Carrying out internal Part 145 audits, including maintenance sample audits and aircraft inspections along with audits of supplies and contracted organisations.
2. Provide on-site support to the base maintenance activities, as well as more occasional support to line station activities in Luton.
3. Develop a close relationship with all responsible managers within the Part 145 organisation to promote Quality and Safety systems.
4. Review applicable standards for each audit and prepare documentation including the updating of audit checklists.
5. Support the internal approval process, including supplier audits and the issue of single event authorisations.
6. Organise audit opening and closing meetings to ensure that the scope of the audit is fully understood, and findings/timescales and corrective/preventive actions are agreed and understood.
7. Demonstrate an "added value approach" to auditing.
8. Maintain an effective working relationship with the Regulatory Authority.
9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within the departmental Quality Databases and KPIs.
10. Review maintenance Organisation audit trends and recommend appropriate actions.
11. Support the certifying staff authorisation process.
The Person:
Proven experience within a similar role.
Possession of a recognised Lead Auditor qualification or ability to work towards this.
