A leading UK-based field services company is seeking an experienced and motivated Field Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the performance of a regional field team across Scotland. Key Responsibilities
1. Lead, manage, and motivate a team of field-based employees and self-employed agents across Scotland.
2. Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of field staff.
3. Ensure compliance with business and client SLAs, industry regulations, and company policies.
4. Conduct field visits to maintain hands-on knowledge of operations, including balance collection, site inspections, and warrant executions.
5. Analyse operational data to develop and implement strategic performance improvements.
6. Provide detailed reporting, statistical analysis, and present findings to senior management.
7. Investigate escalated issues and ensure prompt resolution of operational challenges.
8. Monitor work allocation and agent coverage to optimise efficiency.
9. Support the rollout of new processes, technology, and client-driven initiatives.
10. Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients.
11. Uphold a professional and high-quality service in all aspects of field operations.
Requirements
1. Proven experience in a field operations or management role, preferably in the utilities sector.
2. Strong understanding of field processes, warrant applications, and regulatory compliance.
3. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of driving performance.
4. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.
7. Ability to work independently and under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
8. A proactive, hands-on approach with flexibility to travel across Scotland as required.
