We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housing Officer (LBR07) to join our dynamic Housing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping individuals and families secure quality housing and navigate the complexities of the housing system. You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, providing housing advice, and working closely with clients to understand their needs and circumstances. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including local authorities, landlords, and support agencies. You will have a deep understanding of housing policies and legislation, ensuring that our clients receive accurate information and effective support. Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of housing clients, delivering tailored housing advice and support.
Conduct housing assessments to determine client eligibility for services and housing options.
Coordinate with local authorities and housing associations to facilitate access to housing.
Monitor and review tenancy agreements, ensuring compliance with legislation and organizational policies.
Assist clients in resolving housing-related issues, including disputes and maintenance requests.
Provide information on housing rights, entitlements, and available resources to clients.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with data protection regulations.
Requirements
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a housing advisory role or similar position.
In-depth knowledge of housing legislation, policies, and procedures.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing client needs.
Experience working collaboratively with diverse groups, including vulnerable populations.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, discretion, and professionalism.
Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage a varied and demanding workload.

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £16.51
