Land Manager Job in Dartford, Kent
Our client is a leading housebuilder looking to fill a for their office in Dartford, Kent. The role will focus on the South East region, covering Kent and parts of Sussex. The position is open to both Land Negotiators / Land Buyers looking to step up or an experienced Land Manager looking for a new role a growing business that has a strong reputation for building quality homes across the UK. Salary is between £45,000 and £67,000 depending on experience, plus car allowance and competitive bonus structure!
With a longstanding history of developments ranging between 100 – 1,000 plus units, this leading housebuilder is seeking a Land Manager to work as part of a small team covering the South East region. The role offers the chance for progression and development, whilst offering competitive earning opportunities.
This is a well-rounded position, focused on identification, appraisal and acquisition. The team are looking to arrange interviews as soon as possible and welcome applications from candidates with 1+ years in Land Negotiation or experienced Land Managers with a strong background in the housebuilding sector or similar.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landowners, and developers in the region
2. Work closely with the Land Director and Planning Team
3. Land appraisals (investigation, reporting, and purchasing)
4. Negotiation on offers, keeping in mind budgets and forecasts
5. Management of contracts and partnerships
6. Travel to site.
Required Skills & Experience
7. Proven experience in a similar land negotiator/buyer/manager role
8. Housebuilder/residential experience
9. Experience or awareness of the full acquisition process
10. Strong negotiation experience
11. Ability to travel with Full UK Driving Licence.
