Premier Recruitment Group are pleased to be partnering with a leading business based in Meriden, West Midlands to recruit for a forward-thinking Health Safety and Environmental Supervisor.
This is a full-time and permanent position. Travel to sites is required for the role. A company car will be provided.
Job Purpose:
To ensure the company maintains a high standard of health and safety at work, whilst complying with all relevant health, safety, fire prevention, and environmental legislation and guidelines. To work towards the company being an industry leader in health and safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities:
1. To lead and promote a positive H&S culture, working towards being the industry leader.
2. To ensure the business complies with current and future health and safety and environmental legislation, review H&S policy and procedures on an annual basis, communicate to and train staff in any changes.
3. Review, maintain and communicate H&S Policy and Procedures.
4. Reporting to and liaising with external agencies.
5. Ensure safe working practices are in place and communicated.
6. Ensure compliance with all H&S and Environmental legislation, Fire regulations, and best practices.
7. Promote the company in line with the staff handbook.
Skills/Knowledge:
1. Knowledge and understanding of the recycling and wood products industries.
2. Knowledge of FSC standards.
3. NEBOSH Diploma required.
4. 5 years + experience.
5. Fire Safety knowledge.
6. Driving Licence.
7. Computer skills.
8. Communication Skills.
9. Customer Care.
10. Professional Manner.
11. Environmental Certification required.
