Job Description:
1. Verify component compliance at all production stages within the business.
2. Offer first article inspection support as needed.
3. Identify recurring quality issues, communicating these to the Quality Engineering team along with improvement recommendations.
4. Assist in the 5Y quality process and support root cause analysis for product failures.
5. Manage non-conformities by internal company procedures.
6. Represent the quality function in team meetings.
7. Foster and enhance relationships with quality contacts within our customer base.
8. Support and promote improvement activities that directly enhance our products and manufacturing processes.
9. Collaborate in cross-functional teams to assist in business development, growth, and improvement projects as needed.
10. Support, maintain, and improve the company's quality management system and participate in internal audits when requested.
Skills & Experience:
1. Experienced in an engineering background
2. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
3. Technical knowledge & experience within the aerospace sector
4. Competent in using the following equipment; verniers, micrometres, bore micrometers, height gauges, DTI (Digital Test Indicators)
5. Experience of operating CMM machines (PCDMIS desirable)
6. Provide 1st Article Inspection Reports
7. Knowledge of ISO9001 Management Systems (AS9100 desirable)
