With approximately 15,500 patients, we are looking for a motivated GP to join our forward-thinking, enthusiastic team. We have a highly skilled nursing team that deals with chronic disease management and a well-organised reception team. Our GPs are dedicated to training medical students and allied clinical staff. Main duties of the job
The post-holder will undertake a variety of duties, including surgery/telephone consultations and queries, home visits, signing prescriptions, and dealing with queries in a timely fashion. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems. Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols. Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions. Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary. The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
About us
We are a friendly practice with five clinical partners, one Managing Partner, three salaried GPs, five Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and three pharmacists. We have an excellent nursing team led by the Nurse Manager with five Practice Nurses and four Health Care Assistants. We have two managers and a fantastic administration team.

Job summary:
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered.
Clinical responsibilities:
In accordance with the practice timetable, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including consultations and queries, checking/signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation. Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols. Providing counselling and health education. Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
