NES Fircroft is collaborating with an independent, family-owned company based in West Bromwich, West Midlands, that manufactures organic chemicals for various industries, including Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical, Rubber, Polymer, Food & Beverage, and allied sectors.
We are seeking a Customer Services Manager to lead and manage their Customer Services Department. This role requires extensive experience in customer account management, business development, order processing, fulfilment, and shipping.
As part of the Senior Management Team, you will contribute to all aspects of the business. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting within the company and with our international customers and agents. During this significant period of change, you will champion efficiency improvements within the department.
Key Requirements:
1. Confidence and excellent written and verbal communication skills
2. Thorough understanding of exporting goods across borders, including duties and Incoterms in the post-BREXIT era
3. Strong negotiation skills
4. Resilience under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines
5. Extensive experience in the manufacturing sector
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Level 5 (or higher) qualification in a Business-related discipline or equivalent
2. IATA and IMDG certification
3. 5 years of experience in customer service management and shipping export, including handling dangerous goods
4. Ideally, working knowledge of Sage X3 (not essential)
5. Proficiency with Microsoft software and ability to effectively manipulate Excel spreadsheets
Working Hours and Benefits:
1. 8:45 am – 4:30 pm on-site, 36.25 hours per week
