The School of Health and Life Sciences is now seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Midwifery. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Midwife with significant clinical experience and a sound knowledge of the key drivers informing midwifery education. The successful applicant will contribute to teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and have a desire to engage with research opportunities, knowledge exchange, enterprise, and business engagement within the Department of Nursing & Midwifery.
Applicants must be a Registered Midwife with current NMC registration. You must have a First degree along with; a Masters in a relevant discipline or an equivalent professional qualification or significant practical work experience in a related discipline. Successful applicants must have completed (or be willing to complete) the University Leadership and Management Programmes. You must also hold or be willing to achieve a relevant Teaching Qualification normally within two years of employment i.e. PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation.
Please be advised that due to the minimum salary thresholds imposed by the UKVI, this post may qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.
