Summary: The Kitchen Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, supporting the kitchen staff during meal service, and ensuring that the kitchen is a safe and healthy working environment. Responsibilities: Clean and wash all kitchen supplies, including dishes, glasses, pots, pans, and cutlery. Ensure that food preparation areas and kitchen equipment are clean and hygienic. Operate industrial dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment. Sweep, mop and sanitize kitchen floors and dining areas regularly. Dispose of waste appropriately, including food and packaging products. Support the kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking, including cutting vegetables and other basic tasks. Help with organizing and managing inventory of kitchen supplies. Adhere to food hygiene and health and safety regulations at all times. Work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends if required. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards the team members and customers. Qualifications: Prior experience in a similar position or working environment is preferred. Good understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multi-task in a busy kitchen environment. Must be physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Required shifts: Saturday 5pm till job complete Sunday 11.30 - 4.30 These are the minimum required. You may also be given shifts as per rota.
